Riverside has received a $425,000 grant from the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health to implement a new behavioral health urgent care model in partnership with the Milford Public Schools. Services will include assessments, referrals, and same-day access to psychiatric consultation. The goals are to provide early intervention in order to avert crisis calls to 911 or the police, reduce emergency department visits, and decrease school absences and suspensions because of behavioral health issues.
