What is a Diaper Drive?
We are thrilled by the outpouring of support for our Somerville Early Intervention’s diaper drive. We have just received our 10,000th diaper! Believe it or not, diapers are one of the biggest needs our families struggle to meet. Meanwhile, countless diapers are thrown away every day in the larger community. Diapers cannot be obtained with food stamps or WIC. So, our goal is to meet the needs of parents who are struggling financially and prevent diapers from being wasted as well. We accept opened packages of diapers which are then bundled by size and made available to the families we serve.
We are still accepting packages of diapers (clean, of course!) and unopened containers of wipes. We also accept ongoing monthly donations shipped directly to us by any of the following; Amazon Subscribe & Save, Auto Ship from Diapers.com, Bundle & Save from Honest Company and Target Subscriptions.
For more information or to schedule a drop off or pick up time, please contact Michelle Sharpe (who has made this all happen) at msharpe@riversidecc.org!
