Riverside and William James College Announce Partnership

Riverside Community Care and William James College have entered into an exciting partnership that will benefit the students of the college and Riverside’s workforce. William James College, based in Newton, prepares students for careers in behavioral health and leadership. Emphasizing experiential education, they attract developing professionals eager to become leaders and to advance mental health care.

Starting this year, William James will grant current Riverside employees access to their in-person and online continuing education trainings at a discount. William James College will also run an annual workshop open to all Riverside staff free of charge, which will be eligible toward continuing education credits.

The partnership will also encourage William James and Riverside to engage each other’s respective communities. Riverside will provide information sessions about our organization, our programs, and the benefits of working at Riverside, while William James will share the academic options the school can provide for Riverside employees. One of these is the Psychology and Human Services Bachelor’s Completion Program. William James has agreed to provide need-based scholarships for current Riverside employees who would like to complete their bachelor’s degree through this program.

We are excited about the opportunities this partnership will give to both Riverside employees and the William James College community, and we look forward to developing this relationship.
