In her acceptance speech, Marsha eloquently captured what kept her in the field for over 40 years. She emphasized that alongside the dedicated and mission-driven people who work in behavioral healthcare, she has always wanted to make the world a better, kinder place. Marsha said she realized early on that to do good, you have to do well, which meant providing high-quality services, making smart business decisions, creating a supportive work culture for employees, and promoting strong partnerships with other community providers to share innovations and lessons learned. Striving to meet these high standards leads to improved care and expanded access for those who need it, as well as closer collaborations with government agencies and grant-giving institutions … and so, ultimately, doing more good for more people.

Marsha’s legacy includes advocacy for access to high-quality behavioral healthcare for all who need it, as well as organizational leadership that inspires and nurtures innovation and collaboration. Congratulations to Marsha on this fitting and well-deserved award!
