Paula Fisher elected President of Massachusetts Clubhouse Coalition
We are proud that Paula Fisher, a Certified Peer Specialist at Riverside’s Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) and Emergency Services Programs in Milford, has been elected as the President of the Massachusetts Clubhouse Coalition (MCC). The MCC is a non-profit organization committed to helping people with mental illness find and secure employment, housing, education, services and support in the community. The MCC operates as a clearinghouse of information, a provider of technical assistance, a coordinator of resources, and provides a forum for strategic planning and action. Paula’ passion has been to use her journey of recovery to help instill hope in others.
Paula has been an active member of the MCC for almost 20 years, and sits on the Dual Recovery Committee, Political Advocacy Committee, and Board of Directors. She is also an active participant in Dual Recovery Anonymous which is a member-led, twelve step fellowship that supports individuals recovering from mental illness and alcohol and other drug addictions. Paula is also currently the Treasurer of the Transformation Center in Roxbury.
Paula’s background also includes working as a Faculty Member of Clubhouse International, traveling across the U.S. to Clubhouses on the Accreditation Team, as well as speaking at national conferences. All of her hard work at Riverside and the MCC has made this amazing opportunity possible. Congratulations Paula!
