Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Donates School Supplies to The Guidance Center
WALTHAM, MA – The offices of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England recently collected and donated school supplies for The Guidance Center, a service of Riverside Community Care that provides behavioral healthcare and human services to children and families in Cambridge, Somerville and the surrounding communities.
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage affiliated sales associates and employees donated hundreds of items, including backpacks, paper, notebooks, glue, scissors, as well as boxes of crayons, color pencils, pencils, pens and markers. The Guidance Center recently distributed the donations to approximately 175 children served by the organization.
“For families that are struggling financially, purchasing school supplies at the beginning of the academic year can be a burden. We are very pleased we are able to help children start off the school year with items they need in the classroom,” said Pat Villani, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England. “I thank the employees and affiliated sales associates for their generous donations. This effort would not be possible without their support.”
The members of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares, the charitable foundation of Coldwell Banker Residential in New England, host a Back-to-School Drive for The Guidance Center before the school year begins.
“We are so grateful that Coldwell Banker has once again supported this initiative. The children and families at The Guidance Center rely on these donations, as many of them must cope with financial instability and multiple challenges in their lives. The school supplies will certainly be put to good use and will be much appreciated by the children we serve,” said Shannon Sorenson, vice president of Child and Family Services, Riverside Community Care.
