Riverside Behavioral Treatment Services

Our mobile behavioral treatment teams provide consultation and treatment to individuals who have intellectual or developmental disabilities or brain injury, and are also experiencing a diagnosed mental illness or behavioral challenges. Our clinical staff provides assessment, therapy, and medication services for these individuals.

Riverside’s Behavioral Treatment Services helps individuals and their care providers advocate for themselves and take a part in their own mental healthcare. We do this by offering behavior therapy, counseling, and psychiatry in the communities where the people we serve work and live. This allows for improved care coordination and collaboration among clinicians, the individual, and their support network. Through this model we are able to observe and treat behavioral symptoms as well as teach new skills in the individual’s own environment.

Our Expertise:

  • Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
  • Down Syndrome
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Communication Disorders
  • Acquired and Traumatic Brain Injury

Our Approach

Our multi-disciplined team works closely together to ensure continuity of care and a timely flow of information. After an evaluation, a Behavioral Treatment Services Clinician will meet regularly with the person served to provide ongoing therapy as well as care management. Our clinicians can meet each individual wherever it is convenient, whether in our offices or at the person’s home, residential or day program.

A Behavioral Analyst may develop an individual behavioral treatment plan to set goals and objectives. They also provide behavioral management training when needed. Our team psychiatrist then utilizes this information to manage the individual’s medications.

Referrals

Referrals are made through an individual’s Service Coordinator at their Department of Developmental Services (DDS) area office.
