Court-Ordered Programs
Riverside’s court-ordered programs provide comprehensive support to individuals on probation for driving under the influence and other legal involvement where a connection to mental health or substance use evaluation and services is a requirement. These services ensure compliance with legal obligations while promoting long-term recovery and behavioral changes. Riverside offers referrals to outpatient therapy or more intensive care to program participants seeking additional support.

Massachusetts Impaired Drivers Program
Promoting Long-Term Recovery & Understanding
Riverside’s Massachusetts Impaired Driving program supports individuals on probation for their first offense of driving under the influence. This 16-week course is mandated by the courts to meet a specific probation requirement. Currently, all courses are conducted remotely via telehealth and satisfy probation requirements.
Our Massachusetts Impaired Driving program provides a comprehensive course addressing both the physical and psychological issues of driving under the influence. As individuals progress through the program, many find themselves seeking additional support for mental health or addiction-related issues. Riverside offers referrals for individual outpatient therapy or higher levels of care when applicable.

Court-Mandated Evaluations
Evaluations That Inform Treatment & Enhance Recovery
Riverside provides mental health and substance use assessments to those referred by a court as a condition of their probation or the Registry of Motor Vehicles as a prerequisite for license reinstatement after a substance use incident. These evaluations consist of 2-3 meetings with a clinician and feature comprehensive assessments that address both the physical and psychological issues of driving under the influence. The assessments also provide recommendations for ongoing treatment and support specific to an individual’s circumstances and legal involvement. These court-mandated evaluations meet the requirements of probation, 24Q evaluations, and RMV risk of recidivism evaluations.
Referrals can be sent to our Lynnfield office (see contact information below), and pre-intake paperwork is required to schedule an in-person or virtual evaluation. This service accepts most major insurances and can also be self-paid.
