Riverside presented Organizational Excellence Award by The Network for Social Work Management
Boston, MA- The international organization, The Network for Social Work Management, held its 25th annual Management Conference yesterday at Simmons College in Boston. Riverside Community Care was awarded the national 2014 Organizational Excellence award which is “intended to recognize the accomplishments of a non-profit or for-profit agency that best exemplifies adherence to the Human Services Management Competencies through superior management and quality services.” The Network for Social Work Management commended Riverside for its commitment to advocating for their client populations, their strategic vision, and their positive workplace as a model for others, as well as community collaboration.
Anthony Bibbo, the Awards Chairman for 2014 said, “We were especially moved to learn of your vital role through the Riverside Trauma Center in the wake of the tragic marathon bombing last year. Your immediate response that served to affect individuals, families, schools, and businesses in Boston and surrounding areas was indeed an effort that demonstrates exceptional preparedness. Your continued involvement following the event for a long period of time to include healing and community unity is well chronicled.”
The Network for Social Work Management’s Annual Management Conference seeks to honor the accomplishments of individuals and organizations who contribute management excellence to the communities and populations they serve. They acknowledge lifetime achievements of extraordinary individuals as well as exceptional agencies with highly accomplished leadership. It also aims to bring together managers, researchers, practitioners, professors, and emerging leaders in the public, private and non-profit sector. As well as to provide a space to discuss the latest practices, disseminate research, strengthen our networks, and prepare tomorrow’s leaders.
