Riverside Accepts Award from IASWG

On Saturday, June 8^th, Riverside Community Care was honored by the International Association for the Advancement of Social Work with Groups (IASWG), for its commitment to and excellence in group work. “Riverside has embraced and recognizes the power of groups in day treatment, the clinics, their trauma response work, and more,” said Patty Underwood, IASWG Board Member.

IASWG has put on the XXXV Annual International Symposium every year, for 35 years, “to learn, play, and celebrate social group work with group workers from all over the world.” Riverside was invited to attend and accept the award at this wonderful event.

Riverside was recognized for its work in the groups at the Riverside Outpatient Clinic in Newton. In awarding the honor, Patty Underwood, a board member of IASWG, said that “so many clients…have reported deep gratitude about the groups that they have experienced at the Newton program.”

Thank you to IASWG for this honor and thank you to our staff members whose hard work has earned this award, and who continue to pursue excellence in everything they do.
